With support from local leaders like you, Kennett Community Grocer (KCG) is working to open a community-owned grocery store that supports Chester County, PA-area farmers and producers by bringing fresh, local food to the Kennett Square area. In fact, you may have seen our exciting recent announcement — we have signed a lease for our storefront!

To help raise funds for the store’s opening, KCG is hosting a Chili Cook-Off 🌶️ event featuring chefs from local restaurants. It promises to be a fun evening full of flavor, dancing, and hometown spirit — all in support of raising the $57,000 needed to cover the store’s first six months of operating costs.

By sponsoring this event, you will directly help bring this long-awaited food co-op to life — and in return, you’ll receive meaningful recognition before, during, and after the event. Your support fuels the co-op’s future while putting your name in front of hundreds of engaged community members!

Yes! All event sponsorships/donations will be processed charitable donations (less the value of event tickets included) through our 501(c)(3) nonprofit partner, Friends of Kennett Food Co-op.

100% of your tax-deductible gift to this nonprofit will be solely distributed to support specific needs for the build-out and operation of KCG.

If a full sponsorship isn’t feasible, there are still ways to contribute—please reach out to KCG.Chili.Cookoff@gmail.com and we’d love to explore other ways to partner.

We’re also welcoming:

• General donations in any amount (use the ‘I’d just like to donate’ button on the bottom-left of the sponsorship form). You can even donate using a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) this way.

• In-kind contributions – such as gift cards, goods, or services – to include in our raffle baskets and silent auction (email us at the address above if you’d like to contribute)

Every contribution, no matter the size, plays a valuable role in helping us open the doors to KCG.

Sponsorships purchased on or before Weds, January 21, 2026 will be recognized in all event marketing (website, social media, printed flyers hung around town, etc.) and at the event.

Sponsorships purchased from Thurs, January 22nd through Fri, February 13th, 2026 will be recognized at the event only on the sponsorship poster, the event program, and in “thank you” announcements.
