EXTRA - EXTRA - READ ALL ABOUT IT!

Oh my goodness! We ended 2020 in an amazing way. We have over 100 member owners now! What an awesome community we have! Let's keep up the momentum and carry ourselves to the 200 member-owner benchmark. When we get there we will start the process for determining possible locations for our future Community Grocer.

Coming up we have some new community partnerships and fun events for our member-owners and community. See the exciting events coming up at Braeloch Brewing Company. Don't forget to come to our Marketing or Events committee meetings to get involved in making these events happen.

COME GET INVOLVED

We have a limit of 20 spaces for member owners to come help brew the Kennett Community Grocer Brown Ale at Braeloch Brewing Company. Come join us for a fun day with Kent and the guys from Swarmbustin Honey and let's make an awesome brew for our Sneak Peak event later in the month!

Invite your friends and family to Braeloch for our Sneak Peak event. We've got a chance for you to come hear about the impact our Community Grocer will have on the community, see some ideas of what it could look like, have an awesome time and win some prizes. Our goal is 100 more member owners, so if each of you bring a friend who's ready to commit, we will easily be there!
LET'S GET TO 200 AND MAKE THIS GROCER HAPPEN!!

TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Take the next step to spread the word and build excitement and momentum around the co-op. We need your enthusiasm and involvement to make sure our doors open as quickly as possible. Plan to attend a committee meeting to give your input and get plugged in.

MARKETING: Sunday, February 2 @ 3PM at Philter
BOARD MEETINGMonday, February 10 @ 7PM at The Market at Liberty Place
EVENTS COMMITTEE: Tuesday, February 18 @ 7 PM at The Market at Liberty Place

MEMBER OWNER SPOTLIGHT

DEBBIE BELEY

After longing to move to Kennett for several years, we finally made the move in 2014. And we have been delighted ever since. What we like most is, well, the community!  Kennett is such a lovely town. Walking around town, getting to know our neighbors or people visiting Kennett has been so enjoyable, as well as getting to know the shopkeepers. I like to know the source of my groceries and prefer it to be local if possible.  Being a member-owner gives me that opportunity. I’ve never been involved in a food co-op so I am looking forward to getting a chance to get a close-up view. Plus, I’ll be meeting more of the community.

Join us! You can choose a one time investment of $300 or 12 payments of $25 to make it easier on your budget.
